"Hey Google" "Start the water"!

I just set up my new kettle today. Configured all the custom options and preferences and set the buttons to both of our preferences. My wife likes her coffee hotter than I do and this allowed us a perfect compromise temperature, with the option for me to grab my first cup, and set it to go on its way to the extra hot temperature she wants. It's like a little peace of science fiction becoming reality... Setup was as simple as making sure you have bluetooth on, and don't try to pair it yourself, just leave it and open the govee home app and let it do the rest. At least that's all I had to do. It's as simple as "press-a-button" to use. Even if you don't want to mess with using the app. I'm impressed. "Well done!" Shout out to the designers that all came together to create this one. The ice maker is in route and I can't wait. I'm excited about setting up a routine in google to "Make us some ice"! and then get a notification when they're ready. Now how cool is that?

Works great for the absent minded

I forgot my last kettle was on and it did not turn off automatically... ended up burning the kettle! Got this so that I could use the smart app and prevent that from happening again. It works well.

Nice kettle

Super nice kettle. Warms the water super fast and has enough water reservoir for multiple cups. Has RGB lights for different water temps settings. Kool integrated app beeps and sends a notification when water is at the temperature you set on your phone or the kettle it self. Handle does not even get hot so that's a pluss.

On first opening it had a chemical smell but a good wash and first run water purge cleaned it right up.

So all in all I say it's a good buy.

Warm feature doesnt quite work

I love my new tea kettle! I make my own tea lattes and this tea kettle is great to take the guess work out of hearing my water to the right temperature. I like that it beeps to let me know the water is done heating and the color indicator as well.

Unfortunately, the warm feature doesnt maintain temperature. Instead, it raises the temperature for the warming duration. Not ideal when I want to get a second cup after a half hour or so!

If only it stayed ON even after you take it off its base.

5 STARS for working right out of the box. Plug the base in, place the kettle on its base, fill with water, and let it run on BOIL for 1 RUN to CLEAN IT UP.

Once its cooled off a bit, dump the used water out, rinse with cold water... and you are good to go. This is all recommended by Govee due to manufacturing oils and smell that comes with all metal, plastic, and rubber parts.

Now, the reason I gave it 4 stars and that I might return this unit, is because the actual unit doe not have its own power source to keep the lights active and to continue to measure the temp as it cools. Once you take it off its base, NO MORE POWER for the unit. You will not be able to connect to it until it gets placed back.

All in all, you can set your temps in multiple profiles and I currently only use this unit for Hot Chocolate.

The unit will pop up automatically as soon as you open the govee app and click the + icon. Once you open it, you click on the units Power on/off button once and than do your WIFI settings like all other products with WIFI capability. Really easy.

But I might return and get its bigger brother only because its base stays on and you should be able to fully connect and continue to change settings for the future heat up.
