This device functions just fine, however it just logs openings and closings in a journal.
It will only interact with Govee devices, and only a few of those.
It is not even listed in my smart home devices list.
It doesn't even send notifications to the phone.
So many possibilities missed due to it being invisible.
As for distributed gateways, I honestly fail to even detect its purpose or operation. Given the track record of my experiences with this line of products, I suspect it only impacts proprietary products with little to no use or benefit to the consumer.
What is the intended purpose of a sensor that can only interact with a couple of lights and plugs?
This purchase merely frustrated me with its total lack of usefulness.
