The Govee TV Backlite 3 Lite put my movie watching experience up on a new level. It's incredible how much more immersive movies are with it. Installation was simple and only took about 10 minutes. I did have to calibrate the camera several times to get it right. My room is dark which made it difficult to see the calibration dots on the TV. Make sure your room is bright during the calibration steps. It'll make it easier. Overall, if you love watching movies, you NEED the Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite.

Use the Light Bars behind my dual monitor setup, and they work great at creating a nice colored wash on the wall. I pair these with the Govee hexagon lights, and it becomes a cool focal point with so many different options for mood/lighting/etc. The app really helps to dial in the settings and even create your own presets.

FAQs about LED Lights for TV

What are the control options for a Govee TV backlight?

You can control a Govee TV backlight from the Govee Home App and customize lighting, such as brightness, color, and saturation. You can select the desired mode or effect and synchronize the backlight with other Govee lights in the room. You can also control them as voice commands, as they support Alexa and Google Assistant.

How does a Govee TV backlight work?

A Govee TV backlight is equipped with an external camera that is mounted on the TV to capture colors on the screen with exceptional accuracy. The system processes the captured colors in real-time and sends a signal to the LED strip to produce the same color. The best part is that the LED strip has multiple segments, and the system signals them to display different colors simultaneously to match various sections of the screen.

What are the differences between the Govee TV Backlight T2, 3 Lite, and 3 Pro?

The Govee 3 Lite is an entry-level backlight, but it still has some incredible features, such as fish-eye correction camera technology, an extra warm white chip added to enhance lighting (RGBIC+W), and DreamView syncing. The Govee T2 backlight is the mid-level option with dual camera design, enhanced RGBIC lighting, and music mode. The Govee 3 Pro is the most advanced backlight with the industry-first HDR triple-camera, multi-zone calibration, 16-Bit RGBWWIC, and AI film mood matching.

Are TV backlights worth the investment?

Yes, backlights are worth it. TV backlights provide users with several benefits, such as reducing eye strain, enhancing perceived contrast, and improving their overall viewing experience. They are designed to create a pleasant ambient glow behind the screen, reducing the harsh contrast between a bright TV screen and a dark room. They can enhance the perceived depth and vibrancy of colors on the screen. Additionally, they can alleviate eye fatigue during extended viewing sessions. TV backlights are relatively affordable and easy to install, making them a worthwhile investment for those seeking to improve their TV viewing experience when watching their favorite movies and shows.

What are the features of a Govee TV backlight?

Govee TV backlights bring cinema to your home with seamless color synchronization, precise colors, bright/vivid natural light, and exceptional color density. The camera-based sync ensures matching colors in real-time, while fish-eye correction technology offers accurate colors across the edges. The accurate zone-division produces multiple colors at once, and the music sync and AI film mood matching make your experience more immersive.

What are the best led backlight for tv?

The best lights to place behind your TV depend on personal preferences and the desired ambiance for your viewing experience. Generally, the best light behind a TV is an LED backlighting system specifically designed for TVs. These TV LED lights utilize adhesive strips that attach to the back of the TV, while RGBIC LED light bars emit soft, ambient light. With these TV light strips or light bars, you can create various colors and stunning behind-the-TV lighting effects.

How do you put LED lights on a TV?

To install LED lights on your TV, follow these steps: 1. Ensure the TV is turned off and unplugged. 2. Clean the back of the TV to ensure proper adhesion. 3. Measure and cut the LED light strips to fit the sides and/or top of the TV. 4. Remove the adhesive backing from the LED light strips. 5. Carefully stick the LED light strips along the edges or desired placement areas on the back of the TV. 6. Connect the LED light strips to the power supply or control unit according to the manufacturer's instructions. 7. Plug the power supply into a nearby power outlet. 8. Turn on the TV, and the LED TV backlights will start to illuminate.

What is the best colored lighting for behind a TV?

This depends on personal viewing experience or aesthetic preference. However, a popular choice is to tune the bias lighting color temperature to about 6500K, which may be in a warm white or neutral white color to create a soft and comfortable glow that reduces eye strain and improves the visuals around your screen.

How long do LED backlights last?

On average, LED backlights for TVs can last between 40,000 to 60,000 hours or more, depending on the quality of the LEDs and usage patterns. It translates to 5 to 7 years of typical daily use before any significant decrease in brightness or performance occurs. If you use eight hours or less every day, it could last over 10 years.

What is the Govee TV Light warranty?

Govee TV lights are backed by a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. In case of quality-related defects, you can get free replacements without any hassle. Plus, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee to return undamaged products for any reason and get a full refund.
