Eligibility:
Govee Magic Light Show Contest 2024 is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
a. 18 years of age or older at the beginning of the Contest.
b. Have a valid Govee Home App, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, or Blue Sky account.
Entry Period:
The entry period for this Contest begins on December 4th, 2024 at 12:00 AM PST and ends on December 25th, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST ("Contest Period"). All eligible entries must be submitted within the Contest Period, otherwise, entries will be void.
How to Enter:
Participants ("Participants") can enter the Contest either on social media via Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, or Blue Sky, or in Govee Home App via the Govee Events Discussion Board Club.
If on social media, Participants must follow Govee's official account for the social media platform they are entering on. Participants must post a photo(s) or video(s) showing their own holiday decorations (Decorations Post), use the hashtag #LightYourSpark in the caption of the Decorations Post, and tag Govee's official account in the Decorations Post.
Note 1: For Instagram, only entries posted on the Participant's feed will be counted as entries; Instragram Stories is not an eligible entry method.
Note 2: For Facebook, photos and videos should be posted in the comments of the official Contest post, with Participants using the hashtag #LightYourSpark in their comment and tagging our account.
If in Govee Home App, Participants can enter via the Govee Events Discussion Board by posting photo(s) or video(s) showing their own holiday decorations (Decorations Post), and use the hashtag #XmasMagicLightShow in the post.
Winner Selection:
A total of 24 winners will be selected over the course of this Contest:
Eight (8) winners will be announced on December 12th, 2024, from entries received December 4th through December 10th.
Eight (8) winners will be announced on December 19th, 2024, from entries received December 4th through December 17th.
Eight (8) winners will be announced on December 26th, 2024, from entries received December 4th through December 25th.
A Participate can only be a winner a maximum of one (1) time. Winners are selected by Govee, with selection criteria including the quality of the posts, creativity of the decorations, and more. Winners will be contacted no later than December 31st, 2024.
Prizes:
Week 1 Winners (Dec. 12th): Each receives 1 x Govee Christmas Lights 2 99ft and 1 x Govee Christmas Ball Ornaments
Week 2 Winners (Dec. 19th): Each receives 1 x Govee Curtain Lights 2 and 1 x Govee Mystery Mini-Device Box
Week 3 Winners (Dec. 26th): Each receives 1 x Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 50ft and 1 x Govee Desk Calendar 2025
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other substitutes. Govee reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is out of stock. Govee is not responsible for payment of any local, state, or federal taxes that may result from any prizes won in the Contest, and payment of any tax requirements resulting from prizes is the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
Winner Notification:
For social media: Winners entering via social media will be contacted via Direct Message or post comment by Govee's official social account on the platform where the Participant submitted an Entry (note: Thread participants will receive a Direct Message on Instagram), and winners need to reply within seven (7) days, with their full name, email address, phone number, and shipping address provided to claim the prize.
For the app: Winners entering via Govee Home will need to email app@govee.com within seven (7) days of them being announced as a winner, and must provide their full name, email address, phone number, and shipping address in the email to claim the prize.
Publicity:
By participating in the Contest, Participants grant Govee the right to use their names, their Govee Home App or social media handles, and any submitted content for promotional purposes without any compensation or notice.
General Conditions:
Govee reserves the right to disqualify any Participant found to be violating these Terms & Conditions or attempting to manipulate or tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest. Govee reserves the right to cancel or terminate the Contest at any time, without prior notice, for any reason.
Release and Indemnification:
By participating in the Contest, participants agree to indemnify, release, and hold harmless Govee, Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Blue Sky, and their respective parents, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability, losses, damages, or injuries incurred or arising from their participation in the Contest.
