Very accurate and well made piece of equipment.
It was on sale and great value. Have five sensors at different places, to be honest, on just need the temperature and humidity displace, as the app gives the history.
The larger Govee hygro/therm H5177 seems well made, shows a lot of information, looks nice, has a backlight, and is very easy to read with very large digits. The smaller Govee hygro/therm H5102, stuck onto a mirror, also looks nice and the large digits are easy to read. Both devices importantly have a battery status icon. When compared to each other the 2 Govee's (the 2 center devices in the picture) are same temps and humidity within the 3% + or - range; temps compare well with the ThermoPro but not the AcuRite (which takes way too long to adjust); humidity reading between brands is pretty much different so it's hard to say which device is correct. The Grovee's seem to be very good, so far, as stand alone devices.ISSUES WITH THE GROVEE HOME APP on my moto G7+ android phone: The app seems nice at first view and it shows all bluetooth and wi-fi connected devices with associated Icons, but has annoying problems1. when the app is open the app should automatically connect the devices to phones bluetooth to refresh and show current readings....but for me this rarely occurs. Pressing the refresh icon in the app does not work. I usually have to restart my phone for the bluetooth to refresh.2. so even when and if the main page of the app gets refreshed, you must tap on the device icon to get and record historic data, must do this for each individual device. Apparently this connects to Govee website and takes much too long to refresh, if at all....very frustrating.3. Unless you do #2 above, the next time you open the Govee Home app, the main page will NOT show the latest recorded information. All the above takes an unusual amount of time and effort....it seems that the Govee Home app needs a major software fix. The historic data should be allowed to be recorded on the phone for easy update and retrieval.
Works great, highly recommend
I haven't used the bluetooth functionality yet, but this unit is pretty accurate, and updates quickly (1 second intervals, it seems) compared to other units. It is very sensitive, so holding it will make it read closer to your body temp and the humid fumes you're giving off. This unit is best left in a 'set it and forget it' scenario when you can check in later, and clear the values after not touching it for awhile. It was priced right, the batteries seem to last, and it seems pretty accurate (dead on accurate next to my thermostat.) It did differ greatly from my Nest's humidity sensor, but this one I confirmed to be accurate compared to another hydrometer.
