That’s a wrap on CES 2022. While it was shortened to 3 days this year, team Govee made quite the impact. We are delighted to hear that our upcoming 3D light panels have generated a lot of buzz online. We were even featured on Digital Trend’s list of Best Smart Lights of CES 2022. Our goal this year was to look for offline retailers. Thanks to the efforts of our North American sales team, we garnered interest from Walmart, Best Buy, Lowes, and others. Who knows? Maybe you’ll see Govee in your favorite stores. In yesterday’s blog, I talked about our collaboration with Razer. Matt and I took some time to stop by the convention center to visit Razer’s booth. We got a sneak peek at their concept gaming desk called Project Sophia. The premise is to turn your desk into a modular computer with an array of module slots such as a mug heater, temperature readout, dedicated chat and calendar displays, and more. While the actual desk is most likely not going to be a real product, it was cool to see Razer continue to flex their tech muscles with fun concepts such as Sophia. Other than Razer, we visited a lot of booths. Though tech powerhouses such as Google were not present this year, there was a decent variety of booths with exciting new products coming out. My personal favorites were Samsung’s newest LED TVs that can shift between horizontal and vertical, Liteboxer’s VR workout system, Coway’s smart air mattress, and more. If the current circumstances weren’t in place, I’m sure the show floor would have been a lot more crowded. We spoke with various CES attendees who said that this year’s event was quiet compared to previous years. On one hand, there definitely weren’t any large crowds due to many booths dropping out. As such, the expo on some parts were pretty empty. On the other hand, this gave us an opportunity to spend more time interacting with visitors at our booth. We met a lot of people who are active members of our community as well as a few influencers. It was a pleasure meeting them in person since it’s something we haven’t done before. That’s an experience we are forever grateful for. For those who were following CES 2022, were there other companies besides Govee that caught your attention this year? What were your favorite announcements from Govee and/or other companies? We want to give a special shoutout to those who visited our booth, whether you discovered us for the first time or you’re a loyal user in our community. Welcome back, Govee community! With Day 2 coming and going, we were hard at work to make sure everything was ready for Matt’s IG livestream from our booth. My job was to do a quick sound check on Matt’s audio by standing several feet away. I used my Razer Kraken X Headphones to listen in from my phone. Once we confirmed that the audio was working fine, it was time to review our scripts before showtime. For those who missed it, I’ll give you a brief summary on the announcements we revealed during the livestream. The first new product we announced was a brand new set of 3D light panels, which we showcased in our living room section. These panels are similar to our current light panels, except the focus is on the exciting 3D effects. Several visitors stopped by our booth to take pictures and video to post on their social media and write in their latest articles. The buzz is growing and we couldn’t be more excited to release this product in the early summer. The name, release date, and price information has not been announced yet, as they are still in the development stage. After that, I made an appearance on the stream for a few moments to discuss all things gaming. Several members of the Govee staff (myself included) are active gamers, so we couldn’t wait to tease the next upcoming product in our booth. Before making the big reveal, it was great to ask our audience about upcoming titles they’re looking forward to. Many users reported they were waiting for the release of Elden Ring, which is a collaboration between Hidetaka Miyazaki, notable for popular titles such as the Souls series, Bloodbourne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and George R.R. Martin, famed writer of the A Song of Fire and Ice novels. Now, it was time to reveal the product that is sure to make every PC gamer happy. We are going to be releasing a brand new camera, TV backlights, and light bar kit for PC monitors. While we don’t have official photos of the product yet, CES attendees and our viewers on IG Live got a sneak preview of the product with overwhelmingly positive reception. The new gaming kit is expected to arrive in a few months. The name, release date, and price information has not been announced yet. In addition to a new gaming kit, Govee is going to be collaborating with one of the world’s largest gaming brands, Razer. Specifically, we will be involved in a new development related to Razer’s RGB Chroma. We are delighted on securing this partnership and look forward to sharing more details in the near future. Finally, we had one more major product announcement. For those who wanted an out-of-this-world lighting experience, we were excited to announce a galaxy projector light. There are no official photos at the moment, but I’m sure many people were over the moon to see this product. The projector light is expected to arrive in a few months. Welcome back, Govee friends! We are back with another daily update on everything that’s happened during CES 2022. Due to time constraints, there wasn’t enough time for me to sit down and write a full update for yesterday. Instead, I’ll give you a brief summary on what we did. Matt and I arrived at the Venetian (Formerly Sands) Expo yesterday afternoon to get our first look at our booth. We were located in the smart home section alongside companies big and small that were as passionate about their technology as we are. To say we were humbled to be a part of such a global event is an understatement. For some of our team, we hadn’t visited Vegas in years. I hadn’t visited since 2009, but I distinctly remember the Grand Canale Shops in the Venetian with gorgeous ceilings painted like clear blue skies. The only thing that was missing was “Phantom of the Opera,” which was playing the last time I was there. Instead, another performer has taken its place. On a more positive note, it was great to return while introducing Govee to our biggest audience yet. That’s what kept us motivated during setup, despite a few minor issues along the way. By the time the show floor was open, everything fell perfectly into place. Now came the first day of CES 2022. The doors opened at 10am sharp and our booth has been decked out with our most popular Govee lights and home appliances. The theme for our booth was to give the attendees a feel of a colorful smart home unlike any other. We have a living room section, a bedroom/gaming room section, and a small outdoor section to feature our products. Our team received a wide range of visitors including influencers, tech reviewers, distributors, buyers, and other passionate industry people. We even had individuals from other booths stop by to check out our mesmerizing products. What made every interaction extra special was hearing that people were either familiar with our products or already owned a few in their homes. Some admitted to purchasing lights for their children, grandchildren, or work colleagues. Some also admitted they heard about us through family and friends. We are aware that many of our community members recommend us to others. It truly brightened our day (pun intended) to know that our brand is becoming more familiar around the world. Tomorrow is definitely going to be an exciting day.
