What is the power source, and are the tree lights safe to leave outdoors?
The lights are powered by a low-voltage power adapter that plugs into a standard outdoor outlet. The light strings and controller are certified for outdoor use with an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning they are protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction and can be safely left outdoors. For added protection, we recommend housing the power adapter in a waterproof box (IP65 or higher).
What kind of lighting effects and colors can I create?
Like all Govee products, these lights offer a vast range of possibilities. You can choose from millions of colors and numerous dynamic effects (like fading, flashing, or jumping) directly from Govee Home App. A popular feature is the Music Sync mode, where the lights change color and pulse in real-time to the beat of the music playing nearby.
Can the tree light be used in rainy weather?
Yes. The light strings and controller are rated IP67 for complete weather resistance. However, for complete safety, the power adapter must be protected from direct rain. We strongly recommend placing the power adapter in a separate waterproof enclosure (IP65 or higher) and keeping it in a dry, covered area.
How do I install the lights on a tree? Are any tools or assemblies required?
Installation is very simple and requires no tools or complex assembly. Each light has a sturdy, flexible ground stake. You just need to insert it into the ground and adjust the angle of the light to achieve the perfect lighting effect.
