I love the Fellow products as much as the next person, but after reading some concerning reviews, I ended up going with this one. I have been greatly satisfied with this kettle, and the features are everything I could ask for. I have not even implemented the app and smart features that it provides yet, mostly due to the inconvenience of using it compared to just a button press. This being said, no, you cannot fine tune the temperature on the actual apparatus itself, but the presets are all I could ever ask for. The keep warm feature is also great, especially if I walk away for a minute. I mainly use this for my coffee purposes, in which I make in various forms - Aeropress, Chemex, french press, even instant coffee in rare occasions. The pour is clean, and instantaneous, and allows a nice distribution for a good bloom phase. I wouldn't call myself a coffee snob by any means, but I would say I care more about the art of making a good cup more than the average drinker, and this exceeds my expectations.
Is it the best on the market? No.
Is it the best for someone that is a snob of tea and coffee, quickly changing the temperature to an exact degree for different variants of tea and coffee? No. Maybe with the app, but is an extra step.
Is it great for the price and do anything the average consumer will use? Definitely.
