I bought 3 boxes of 10, I have Nanoleaf products as well, and while I think Govee has a much better job with the light experience and the brightness is much higher than other similar products there are a few things that need to be worked on.
1. They should work on the electric conductors, while they stated that their products only connect up to 10 hexagons, I have connected up to 20 of them, but after number 15 the brightness starts to fade as the electricity isn't reaching at 100% to the end, other products have better electric conductors or conductor booster connectors to ensure all lights are well connected.
2. The app, app only allows you to connect up to 22 hexagons in a single line only, so if you want some cool designs where you want to create branches off the line, the app won't allow you to add those, again, the app only allows for a single line connection, so you can't connect more than one hexagon to another hexagon. Another thing is that if you group your connections, there is no way for the app to know that all of these lights might be next to each other when set up separately in chunks of 10, so this sucks. Also even if you group them, they still don't recognize each other. When grouped a lot of the individual features go away, so it sucks too. Alexa sometimes has a problem reading the lights.
3. The adhesive that comes in each hexagon, they are hit or miss, of all the 30 lights I ordered, about 7 of them had horrible sticky adhesives to them, even after pressing on them for more than 2 minutes they kept falling off, and yes I cleaned the wall very well. In the end, I had to buy some from amazon and use those, they finally stayed up.
I wanted to buy about 100 of these lights to put behind an entire wall, but I would hate to have 20+ cables connected to a power source and then have to manually manage each of them on the app, on the other hand my nanoleaf wall in the office has been easy to manage.
